Eastenders – Episode Review

Tonight’s episode of Eastenders was full of scenes that fans and viewers have been waiting for as the affair of the year finally came to a head and everything ‘came out in the wash’.

Yesterday’s episode of Eastenders saw Garry and Dawn on their stag and hen nights. Dawn admitted to Manda, Shirley and Heather that she had slept with Phil and Shirley demanded that she tell Garry the truth.

Dawn had good intentions but when she saw Garry snuggling up with her daughter Summer, she just couldn’t bring herself to do it. Meanwhile, Garry called it a night too early into his stag do when he had a sumo themed punch up with best mate Minty, but it was the end of the episode that left fans gasping, as Minty told Garry he had something to tell him.
Tonight’s episode opened with a stunned looking Garry lying wide eyed on the sofa and from the look on his wounded face, it was clear he has discovered the truth about the affair Dawn had with boss and friend, Phil, just weeks ago.

As Dawn and the girls get ready, Dawn reveals that she never loved Phil and that Garry was always the one she wanted to be with, which lightens the mood and cues the girls to help each other get ready. Meanwhile, it seems Garry is still set on getting married as he meets his best man and friends in the Square, but Minty can’t help but notice he is waiting for Dawn to walk out of Shirley’s flat. As she does, she tries to hide, adamant that Garry seeing her in white before the ceremony will result in bad luck… ironically.

Garry screams at Dawn across the street and asks her if she loves him, and as she looks on confused, Garry turns to Phil and throws a punch which lands Phil in the face!
It seems kind hearted Garry was just biding his time, but will this loveable couple be able to get through this and live happily ever after?

Eastenders UK Soap Episode Review

Viewers have seen in the last few episodes of Eastenders a slighty uneasy looking Zainab experiencing a few funny turns.

In the last week, fans of UK soap Eastenders, have seen Zainab excited over receiving her sons A Level results and spent hours on the day itself preparing the perfect congratulatory dinner and party which was held in Fargos, the local classy restaurant, but it seems Denise had the same idea for her daughter Libby.

Over at Fargos in Thursday’s episode – after efforts to out do each other much to their kids embarassment – Denise and Zainab called it quits and shared a deep conversation about their new Oxford University student children Tamwar and Libby. As the pair agreed to return to their families, Zainab fell slightly and lost her footing. When Denise asked her if she was okay, Zainab shrugged it off as exhaustion and worry over Tamwar’s results. In Friday’s episode, Zainab flapped around the square trying to convince Ian to take over the buffet arranged for later in the day, but after Ian told her no, she headed to Christian’s who unbeknown to her is shacked up in his flat with her son Syed.

As he hid in the bedroom, Christian agreed to take over the buffet and to meet Zainab at the unit and it was later on in the kitchen that Zainab experienced another dizzy spell. Again, she blamed tiredness. Meanwhile, Masood is arranging a secret round the world trip that they will unfortunately never get to go as soap sources have just announced that Zainab is pregnant!
Zainab will break the shocking news to husband Masood and the couple are then faced with a difficult decision. Will they decide to keep the child? Tune in next episode for all the best UK soap action!

Doctors Soap Opera Gossip

Doctors was a string of touching scenes on Friday, and although tears may have fell during the watching of the middle of the episode, viewers across England were smiling towards the end, as at last, soap show land handed us a happy ending.

A slightly worried looking woman wakes up next to her husband Leo, and as soon as his eyes are opened, he smiles and begins cuddling and touching her. Brigit (the woman) looks extremely uncomfortable, and after a few seconds, she pushes her husband away and gets out of bed telling him she has to be in work early for a training course.

Later on, Brigit arrives at work and is immediately heckled by a colleague named Raj. He tells her that she’s loosing her touch as she doesn’t drink much alcohol anymore.
Brigit laughs it off, and the pair flirt with each other. An hour or so later, Brigit leaves for a doctors’ appointment.

Over at The Mill surgery, viewers saw a smiling Zara Carmichael reveal to Brigit that she is indeed 8 weeks pregnant, but Brigit immediately asked for a termination. She’s worried that excessive drinking has damaged her child. Zara calms her down and tells her to come back after she has done some research.

Meanwhile, after being told by Raj in a confusing phone call that there was no training course, Leo turns up looking for his wife, who isn’t there. He believes Raj and Brigit are having an affair, but when Raj tells him about the pregnancy, instead of looking elated, he looks flabbergasted.  It is soon revealed that Leo is incapable of having children, which cues Brigit to tell him that she had a one night stand in Milan in order to get pregnant. Leo is distraught and just as it’s looking like the couple will end their relationship, Leo tears up the termination form and smiles at his wife. They will have the child.

Doctors writers certainly know to pen an eagerly awaited happy ending tear jerker!

Eastenders – Episode Review

Friday’s episode of London based soap opera Eastenders saw a string of comical couplings, touching scenes and shocking revelations, and as Dawn and Garry’s wedding edges closer, viewers can’t help but wonder if it will go ahead according to plan.

In the morning inside the house that Garry, Dawn and Minty share, Minty finds Garry asleep in the living room on the sofa. After asking him if he has argued with Dawn, Garry brushes off his negativity and tells best bud Minty that he’s ‘saving himself’ for the wedding night – but Minty doesn’t look too convinced. Later on, Minty tells Garry that he has a brilliant and costly stag night planned for him, but Garry insists he just wants a few drinks in The Vic and asks him to ask Phil – the man his fiancé cheated on him with, unbeknown to Garry – if they can hold the stag night there.

Later at work, Garry is confused as to why Minty and Phil are constantly bickering, and handcuffs their feet together in the Arches and tells them to sort their differences!
They’re later unattached when Minty finally asks Phil about the stag night who then okays it. Meanwhile, after almost catching her son Syed half naked in Christian’s flat, Zainab badgers poor Christian to leave the house and help them with a catering gig. Christian agrees, and turns up late after Syed pep talks him on the phone.
When explaining what to do, Zainab goes dizzy (not the first time this weak) and loses her footing, but she insists it’s tiredness.

As beautiful soap show scenes unravel with the newly returned Jim and wife Dot, not so beautiful things are happening at The Vic when Phil loses it with Minty’s heckling – he tells Minty he ended it with Dawn, not the other way round, as Minty is left fuming.

Now the question is – will Minty tell his best friend the truth about his fiancé?

Soap Review – Eastenders

Old faces return, revelations come to a head, and punches are thrown in UK BBC soap opera Eastenders in the next few weeks.

Tears will certainly prick the eyes of many this week when this UK soap airs, as loveable Grandad, Father and husband Jim returns, much to Dot’s shock. Whilst Liz and Dot are chatting in the lounge, the nursing home call and tell Liz that the nursing home are hoping to send Jim home – as little Dotty looks excited at the idea of her Grandad returning home, Dot stays pessimistic and says the return may not happen, as they have called before. Later that evening, Dot returns home as Liz tells her she has a visitor in the lounge – it’s Jim. The pair smile at each other sweetly, and alone, they share some heart felt tear jerking scenes together.

Meanwhile, next week, viewers will see Dawn and Garry preparing for their wedding, and Monday will be time for stag and hen nights, but in true Eastenders style, the parties won’t be full of smiles and celebration. As Dawn, Shirley and Heather indulge in a bottle of wine and a girly chat, Shirley asks Dawn if she has any regrets and anything to admit before she walks down the aisle. At first reluctant, Dawn admits to the girls that she slept with Phil and cheated on Garry and Shirley is left fuming.

Over at The Vic, Garry and Minty start play fighting in novelty sumo wrestling suits but it soon turns sour when Minty grabs Garry in a headlock. When Garry screams at him and asks him to be happy for him and Dawn, Minty storms off.

It seems the big ‘affair’ secret is getting too much for fiancé Dawn and best friend Minty – will it all come out in a soapy wash?

Eastenders – Episode Review

Eastenders left everyone wanting more when Friday’s episode – full of drama, pay offs and family feuding – came to an end. Fans now await the next episode which air next Monday.

The start of the soap episode saw Archie and Jack – certainly an unlikely coupling – chatting sneakily in the square. Archie asks Jack quickly if ‘everything is on for later’ and a serious looking Jack nods, as Archie heads for the Vic. Inside, he begins pressing daughter Roxy about her sister Ronnie and ex childhood sweetheart, Joel. Roxy looks uncomfortable with the Spanish inquisition and after giving very little away, tells her father to leave the pair of them alone as they are old enough to look after themselves – but Archie’s face tells a million stories, and it’s clear this slimy character will not be letting go that easily. Roxy, on the other hand, has sister Ronnie in mind for other things – she asks her to babysit for her date with Ricky, but when Ronnie says no, she looks angry and looks as though she’s regretting sticking up for her to Archie.

Meanwhile, viewers then saw an excitable Ricky preparing for his date with Roxy that evening, as a clearly jealous Bianca seethes – she then has an idea. She flirts with Doctor Al in hope of getting a date with him, but he doesn’t reciprocate. She then stoops to a lower level and offers him free coffee for a week in exchange for a date, and he agrees!

Whilst both dates are kicking off, it is announced that Jack has sold the car lot to Archie, and when an angry Ronnie finds out her father’s deal, she goes looking for him – but unbeknown to her, Archie is presenting a massive wad of cash to Joel, asking him to leave Walford and leave Ronnie alone. Joel takes the cash and scarpers.

Will Joel be back to tell Ronnie about her father’s pay off? And how will the car lot run with Mr Evil in charge of it? Tune in Monday, at 8pm, on BBC1 for the next juicy Eastenders installement!

Doctors – Episode Review

Yesterday’s episode of Doctors was devastating for poor Cherry. Once Cherry found out last week that friend and colleague Michelle was drinking neat vodka from the bottle whilst at work, there has been nothing but drama and harsh words from Michelle, and yesterday saw the two girls involved in a critical mix up – a result of Michelle’s drinking.

After downing a batch of vodka in her lunch break yesterday, Michelle was seen giving a patient the wrong injection who then went into a state of unconsciousness and fitting and had to be carried away in an ambulance. Fearing for her job, Michelle blamed friend and assistant to the procedure Cherry who was then suspended by Julia.

Today’s Doctors episode focused on a despairing and heartbroken Cherry – reeling from yesterday’s events. Today’s episode named ‘Magic’ saw Simon visiting upset Cherry at home. After he probed her about yesterday’s drama, Cherry came clean and told Simon all about Michelle’s drinking and told him she was drunk at work the previous day which lead to the wrong injection being administered. Simon was in shock and told Cherry to tell Julia the truth, and although hurt and scared of betraying her friend, she agreed.

Over at the surgery, viewers saw a convincing Michelle telling Julia all about Cherry’s clumsiness regarding the wrong injection, but in the middle, Cherry arrived and blurted to Julia that Michelle carries vodka in her bag. When a confused and intrigued Julia checked Michelle’s bag, she found nothing and Cherry was sent out of the surgery until further notice.
As Simon began driving her home, viewers saw Michelle get into her car and pull a large bottle of vodka out of the glove compartment.

Will Julia finally find out the truth about Michelle’s ‘drinking on the job’ and will poor Cherry ever get her job back? Fans are hoping Michelle will be rumbled, and rumour has it that all is revealed this August!

Emmerdale – Episode Review

Tonight was certainly a gripping episode of Emmerdale, as Lexi hit rock bottom and Carl tells her his feelings and she painfully learns the truth about her marriage.

Since Nicola gave birth to a baby girl last week, Nicola has noticed how scared Lexi is about holding the child and in the first half of tonight’s Emmerdale instalment, Nicola told Lexi that if she is desperate for a child, she should find someone that is willing to give her what she wants, as husband Carl certainly doesn’t want to.Later on, whilst Nicola was out of the room, a nurse handed t he baby to Lexi (presuming she was the mother) and distraught Lexi struggled to keep calm. Viewers soon saw Lexi look deep into the newborn’s eyes and soon, she began wandering the post-natal ward with the baby in her arms.

In a heart breaking scene, Lexi then wandered onto a ward of happy couples and their newborn babies and completely awash with upset, disappeared out of the ward exit with the baby.
As Nicola and Jimmy returned to find baby girl Angelica missing, Scarlett entered and told the couple that she had just seen Lexi with the baby and knowing the state she is in, the pair panicked and began searching the hospital and minutes later they found her – on the hospital roof!

Emmerdale
then kept viewers waiting for the second instalment which aired 30 minutes later, full of answers, drama and stomach turning scenes. With Nicola, Jimmy and now Carl on the roof trying to coax Lexi to pass over Angelica, Lexi began demanding to know why Carl didn’t want to have children. He stuttered and stammered, but after brother Jimmy advised Carl to tell the truth, Lexi wobbled and almost slipped with the baby in her arms when Carl admitted he doesn’t love her and never has.

Soap fans have been suspecting of Carl’s feelings towards Lexi for months, and it seems Emmerdale confirmed it for the nation tonight. How will Lexi ever get over this devastating news – find out this summer on Emmerdale.
